Some communities have the custom of blessing their homes with recalling the visit of the Magi. The household gathers at the manger scene to read Matthew 2:1-12. The light of the star guided the Three Kings on their journey. We too, must be lights for each other. Think of ways we can help others as we journey along in life.

House blessing: Lord, God of heaven and earth, you revealed your only-begotten Son to every nation by the guidance of a star. Bless this house and all who inhabit it. Fill us with the light of Christ, that our concern for others may reflect your love. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
