Sunday, October 4, is the Memorial of St. Francis of Assisi. The beloved St. Francis is famous for his humility and his embrace of poverty. He is also known for his love of creation and therefore the Church has the tradition of blessing animals on or near his feast day.
We will have our annual Blessing of Animals on Saturday, October 3, at 12:00 pm outside of the Parish Center. Be sure to bring your pet of any kind — dog, cat, bird, iguana, ferret, horse, chicken, turtle ...whatever!
